Leap Day - is that what they call it?

It's the last day of February and the last day of my personal "Day in the Life" photo project. Today's photo was a picture of a hotel. Maybe not all that exciting but I was at a workshop today, which doesn't happen too often. And I enjoy things like that. Getting new ideas, checking to see if I'm on the right track, networking, continuous learning, not to mention a day out of the office!

Here's a funny photography quote that I love: "I shoot people." Now I'm off to make tomorrow's lunch for my little girl and go to bed.

Until next time...

Photo Challenge Update

Well, my photo challenge is challenging. Just what I needed. I still need to get over the hurdle that everyday life is mundane. Reality is, everything has a story. I've taken pictures of articles I bought at a school fundraiser, lots of activities with my daughter, scrapbooking with friends, my keyboard, my sore knee on the day I had an x-ray, and the program for a school play that we saw today. Seven days left of "A Day in the Life". Any ideas on what I should do with photos?

Until next time...

Personal Photo Challenge

Well, not feeling challenged enough by my club lately I decided to come up with something to challenge myself. On February 1st I began "A Day in the Life" photo challenge. February is a shorter month but it's also a leap year this year, so I thought that would be a neat way to mark the occasion, so to speak. Each day I take a photo of something in my life, and it's different every day. That in itself is challenging but I am also trying to only use my 50mm and manual settings. I may post a few before the end of the month. Here is today's photo: My daughter baking cookies using my (antique) Easy-Bake Oven.

Until next time...
